Ahmad Rafi is a representational  painter. Although he works diligently on the exact rendition of an object, he also succeeds in setting new accents within the discipline of realistic painting. His painting is obviously based on a critical need for self-reflection. Painting for him is an expression about the art of painting itself.

The exhibition „Check your Dogma II“ by Israeli artist Sarai Meyron and Iranian artist Ahmad Rafi at the DA! Galerie Bund Offenbacher Künstler (Association of Offenbach Artists) directly references the exhibition „Da! Art Award, Check your Dogma“ at the Düsseldorf City Museum in September 2024. Sarai Meyron, winner of the „Da! Art Award,“ and Ahmad Rafi, winner of the Audience Award, whose work was canceled by the Düsseldorf City Museum, have decided to revisit the topic in a duo exhibition. The mere act of the artist coming together in an exhibition space sets a striking sign of solidarity in a pluralistic society such as Germany. The exhibition at the BOK Gallery is intended to be understood as a holistic installation. The exhibition components consist of videos and paintings that fill the space. To this end, the artists will conduct a dialogue performance at the opening, which will be filmed and shown throughout the exhibition.
