Following on from the Water Books, Rafi created an eleven part series of can­vases on the same subject. The 14 small paintings now became studies for the following eleven paintings.

They are the same image motifs with their various versions of water. Sometimes the surface of the water covers the whole surface of the image, and sometimes just parts of the painting. Some also integrate the shore or part of the horizon into the picture. The endlessness of the water surface comes face to face with the finite nature of human lives.
